I know commissioning your own painting can be daunting - what if you don’t like the final product? How does this work?
My ultimate goal when doing a commission is that you are 100% happy to have the final product up on your wall, however big or small it may be.
It will be the colours you want, the perfect size and totally unique! We will be in contact throughout the whole process
The Plan
Step One
We make contact and discuss your vision, budget and size of the piece.
If you live in Mallorca you may want to visit my Studio and look at my work for ideas.
If it’s a large piece and you live in the Balearics I can visit your home to look at the space you want to fill.
Step Two
We agree on size, colours, schedule and price. I will produce a contract for us both to sign with all these details.
I ask for a non-refundable 50% to pay for the materials and book a slot in my timetable.
Large pieces can take a few months to paint. Smaller watercolours a few weeks.
Step Three
Throughout the process I’ll keep you updated with my progress and confirm colour palettes.
I rarely send photos mid-work as often there is an “ugly phase” and the final piece looks completely different!
Step Four
When the piece is finished I’ll send photos and a video if it is large.
I want you to be completely happy with the work so will happily change anything you’re not happy with.
Once you’re satisfied final payment is sent and delivery will be arranged.

Small commissioned watercolours start at 200€. Medium/large mixed media or encaustic pieces start at 1500€
I work out the cost of the paintings according to a size formula. Commissions are slightly more expensive because I take the time to understand what you truly want and finally receive.

A watercolour may take me a week or so. Mixed media can take several months due to the many layers and drying time (longer in winter!).
It also depends on how much work I have on at the time.

I use lots of bees wax!! My mixed media are mainly professional grade oil paints, dried pigments, Cold Wax Medium, sand and marble dust.
Encaustic pieces are oil paints and encaustic medium made up of bees wax and dammar resin.

My encaustic pieces are framed to protect the edges from chipping. They are custom made and included in the price.
My mixed media pieces aren’t framed as the sides are painted. However you may feel like you would like to frame them in a cradle frame
The watercolours are not framed. Apart from the fact that this would make shipping more expensive everyone has their own taste for their homes

Yes they will.
However in some of my abstract pieces you may prefer them the other way up! Feel free to do so :)

If you live in Mallorca I will personally deliver the painting.
All other artwork is either sent by a trusted Courier or registered post if its a small, light piece.
Larger pieces will be carefully packaged in a custom made crate
Postage and customs are paid by you.
